About Welliyah

Built by a Muslim woman who needed this too.

Welliyah was created by Midori Fujita — a Japanese revert to Islam and remedial massage therapist — to help women everywhere feel safe, respected, and emotionally at ease when booking wellness, beauty, fitness, childcare, and personal care services.

Why I started Welliyah

My name is Midori Fujita, and I'm the founder of Welliyah — a women-only wellness platform for Muslim women and all women who value modesty, privacy, and trusted female care.

I grew up in Japan, where I learned the quiet meaning of care, discipline and longevity from my grandmother, who lived a blessed life until the age of 104. From her, I learned that true wellbeing isn't about short-term trends — it's daily respect for the body, the mind, and the soul.

For many years I worked across hair, beauty, remedial massage, fitness, and wellness. I loved helping women feel confident, cared for, and supported. But my deepest understanding of women's wellbeing came from my own life — endometriosis, infertility, exhaustion, and the invisible load so many women carry silently.

Alhamdulillah, after years of struggle, I became pregnant naturally with my third child at almost forty-four. That journey changed the way I understand health forever.

My journey to Islam wasn't simple either. As a Japanese woman, I didn't grow up understanding it. But the more I learned, the more I realised Islam isn't separate from wellbeing — it teaches us to pause, to purify, to protect our dignity, to care for our bodies, to nourish our families, and to return to Allah throughout the day.

Today, as a remedial massage therapist in a clinical practice, I meet many Muslim women carrying so much. They want female-only care, privacy, and modesty understood — and they want to feel safe before they even arrive.

I have been carrying this vision since 2019 — through motherhood, work, financial pressure, and many challenges — because I believe this is my life mission.

This is more than a business to me. It's something I genuinely wished existed.

Privacy matters

Women should feel emotionally and physically comfortable when receiving care.

Respect first

Personal boundaries, modesty, and comfort should always be respected.

Wellness should feel safe

The right environment can completely change how women experience wellness.

Created for Muslim women — welcoming to all women.

Welliyah was created with Muslim women in mind, but many women value the same things: privacy, respectful care, calm environments, and feeling emotionally safe.

Welliyah welcomes any woman who connects with those values.

The bigger dream

A space we'll build, in time.

One day, I hope Welliyah grows into physical women-only wellness spaces designed around comfort, privacy, and community.

But for now, this app is the first step.
